Habitat for Humanity of Portage County and Rebuilding Together join forces to serve the Ravenna community.

Ravenna, Ohio November 14, 2015:

The regional affiliates of Habitat for Humanity and Rebuilding Together collaborated on one community project within the city of Ravenna on Saturday, November 14 from 8am – 5pm. The two organizations joined forces to assist one family to “significantly impact the family’s quality of life.”

“Our company has been involved with both of these outstanding organizations. Habitat and Rebuilding Together coming together for the good of the community, that’s true collaboration from which everyone can benefit,” stated Julie Brandle, President of Metis Construction located in Kent, Ohio.

The project was selected based on three criteria: need, desire to partner and level of impact. Applications required detailed responses to pertinent questions surrounding the home repair need and inability to fund this repair without assistance.
Special thanks to volunteers from Metis Construction, Kent State Construction Management Program, KSU students from the residence halls and other individual volunteers.
